Upon committing to a European trip back in January, The Memorial Committee saw Thunder as a battle that is worth fighting however one that would probably wind up being a lost cause. Much like with Pitt's recruitment of Shayne Hale, we felt like we had no shot at landing Dahar until "something" (13-9) happened. Once Dahar was informed that he may need to take some summer classes before his enrollment in Dental School in July, he decided to reach out to The Memorial Committee and see if we still have room for a little Thunder in our 2008 Class! Our reply, "Storms are no fun without Thunder & Lightning!"
Again, this is not 100%. But, my sources tell me that a final decision could be reached by next weekend. He is meeting with his academic advisors this week to see where his future lays. All I know is that it feels good to have a shot once again!!! Wooooooooooo!!!!!

Shadyside is BUZZING with this news! there are rumors of small crowds gathering outside of Dahar's college ave apartment to try and sneak a glimpse at what his decision will be!!!
This is HUGE news in the meteorologist community. The possibility of the "Perfect Storm" colliding over the Appalachians has a lot of people excited and on edge!! You can bet your bottoms Lightning will be anxiously awaiting Thunders decision!!!
